Quarter sized hail was observed along Waiteville Road.

Isolated storms developed in the afternoon hours, and were mainly terrain driven from afternoon heating and strong destabilization. Very little upper level support helped to limit the coverage of severe storms. Steep lapse rates and low freezing levels resulted in one severe thunderstorm producing large hail in Monroe County.
