Weatherflow station in Flour Bluff measured a wind gust of 38 knots while the AWOS station at KNGP measured a wind gust of 37 knots.

A few strong to severe cells made it to the southern Coastal Bend midday on May 17th, leading to wind gusts of 40-45 mph over Corpus Christi Bay.
