NOAA CO-OPS site at La Quinta Channel and a couple personal weather stations along the Corpus Christi Bay reported wind gusts of 39-43 mph.
Wider weather episode
The northern edge of decaying MCS caused strong wind gusts around 40 mph over the Corpus Christi Bay during the very early morning hours of May 29th. A more widespread event occurred on May 31st, that impacted much of the Coastal Bend.
