Event narrative

A trained weather spotter reported quarter sized hail in the town of Harrisburg.

Wider weather episode

Numerous strong to severe thunderstorms impacted a large portion of the western Nebraska Panhandle during the mid afternoon hours on 6/2, with the strongest storms impacting primarily Banner and Cheyenne counties. These storms produced multiple instances of hail between 1 and 2 inches in diameter, as well as a few funnel clouds.
