A video on social media showed a funnel cloud over Ave Maria as a thunderstorm moved through the area.

The wider storm

With the influence of a mid-level shortwave trough over the Florida Peninsula, plentiful moisture and instability sparked showers and thunderstorms along sea breeze boundaries. One of these thunderstorms produced a funnel cloud.

Began near Immokalee (26.3400, -81.4400).
