A Hendry County official reported a funnel cloud near Lexington Parkway and State Route 80 associated with a thunderstorm in the area.

As a mid-level trough moved over the Florida Peninsula, abundant low-level moisture and diurnal heating led to plenty of instability in the atmosphere. Scattered showers and thunderstorms formed in the afternoon and evening along the Gulf Coast sea breeze.
