An isolated high wind gust of 59 mph was observed via a mesonet in Firstview, Colorado. Other observations fell into the 45-50 mph range across Cheyenne County.

As a strong low pressure system moved over Eastern Colorado, strong to high wind gusts of 45 to 59 mph occurred in Kit Carson and Cheyenne counties. These winds produced some localized dust storm conditions with visibility as low as 1,000 feet to one-quarter mile in Burlington, Colorado. The strongest winds were reported in Cheyenne County in the town of Firstview.
