Two-inch diameter hail was reported eight miles west-northwest of Steuben. A photo was sent of a hailstone about 30-45 minutes after it fell so some melting occurred. Time of the report was estimated from radar.

An upper disturbance moving through an unstable and highly-sheared environment triggered severe thunderstorms over portions of central Upper Michigan on the afternoon of the 13th.
