A severe thunderstorm producing winds estimated at 60 mph knocked down multiple trees in Wharton Township.

An MCV passing over Lake Erie and New York state helped to kick off scattered convection over northern and western Pennsylvania during the afternoon and evening hours of June 17, 2024. In a very warm and humid airmass with moderately high CAPE but low shear, a few of these storms produced wind damage as they pushed into the Allegheny Plateau.
