Event narrative

Nearly four inches of rain from late evening on the 18th into the early morning of the 19th caused flooding on south Laird Road in southern Houghton County where a 4-foot culvert washed out and farther down the road a second culvert was sticking out of ground. Road was not passable after flooding.

Wider weather episode

Heavy rains of 3 to 5 inches from thunderstorms washed out culverts over portions of Ontonagon and Houghton counties during the early morning of the 19th.
