Prolonged spring rainfall deficits of up to 8 inches, or 25 to 50 percent of normal, across Glades County led to the development of severe drought (D2) conditions. Keetch-Byram Drought Index was over 600 across the area, and a burn ban was implemented for Glades County. The level of Fisheating Creek in Palmdale got down as low as 0.10 feet.
