Event narrative

Significant straight line wind damage on State Hwy 87 where multiple wooden power poles were snapped. Metal roofing from a small barn was also lifted and blown between 100-200 yards. Debris and damage all laying in the same direction.

Wider weather episode

Two storm complexes moved across southeastern Mississippi, southwestern Alabama, and into the Florida Panhandle during the early morning hours of 5/10 producing destructive straight-line winds and multiple tornadoes.
