A wind gust of 35 knots (40 MPH) was measured by a mesonet at Crab Alley Bay adjacent to Eastern Bay.

A cold front triggered bands of thunderstorms which produced gale force wind gusts over portions of the tidal Potomac River and Chesapeake Bay.
