Wind gust was recorded one mile northwest of Oregon Inlet at the XORI station via WeatherFlow. Wind gust occurred as thunderstorms were moving through the area.

A cold front quickly tracked eastwards across the inland and coastal waters of Eastern North Carolina on the afternoon of June 24th bringing scattered strong and damaging winds to the waters from the northern Outer Banks down to the Crystal Coast.
