Wind gust was measured on a the XORE weather station on the south end of Oregon Inlet via WeatherFlow. Wind gust was measured as thunderstorms were moving through the area.

A cold front quickly tracked eastwards across the inland and coastal waters of Eastern North Carolina on the afternoon of June 24th bringing scattered strong and damaging winds to the waters from the northern Outer Banks down to the Crystal Coast.
