Shortly after 3 PM CST, law enforcement reported a power line down due to a tree blown down by thunderstorm winds estimated to 50 kts in the town of Woods Heights.

Wider weather episode

On the afternoon of May 21st, strong to severe storms developed over far eastern Kansas, and moved into western Missouri. These storms produced some hail, damaging wind gusts, and one tornado in Henry County.
