Thunderstorm Wind in Scott County, Indiana

There were multiple reports of tree damage from 2nd Street and Washington Street in Scottsburg. There was at least one power line down as well.

A cold front moved into the Ohio Valley during the day on May 22nd. Along the cold front, a line of showers and thunderstorms developed within the unstable air mass across western Kentucky during the mid-afternoon hours, gradually extending northeastward into southern Indiana later in the evening. This line contained largely sub-severe storms, though localized stronger pockets of wind ultimately produced isolated wind damage across portions of southern Indiana.
