Strong thunderstorm winds knocked down a tree and wires next to a house.

Sunshine early in the day helped to destabilize the area for the afternoon. Increasing instability and moisture, as a weak frontal boundary lifted northward, caused thunderstorms to develop. Some storms became severe producing damaging wind gusts and heavy rainfall.
