A surface low developed along a warm front and lifted northeast across southeast Virginia late on May 14 into the early morning hours of May 15 before moving off the Eastern Shore coastline on May 15. This resulted in widespread moderate to locally heavy rain across portions of the Maryland Eastern Shore.
