Event narrative
Numerous trees and power lines were downed across White County. Roads with trees down included Lancaster Road, Golden Mountain Road, McMinnville Highway, Power House Road, Quebeck Road, Mackie Road, Moore Street, Hampton Crossroads, Horton Road, Pistole Road, Grandview Drive, and County House Road. Power lines were blown down on North Church Street, Sullivan Knowles Road, and Clark Street. Damages are a rough estimate.

Two lines of thunderstorms moved through Middle Tennessee on July 30, 2024. One of these lines moved through the area during the afternoon while the second arrived late in the evening. Damaging winds were the primary threat with these thunderstorms with numerous reports of downed trees and power lines received. Heavy rain was also reported across the Cumberland Plateau with flooding occurring in portions of Putnam and White counties. In Williamson County, a lightning strike caused a house fire which caused smoke inhalation for four firefighters.
