Severe drought remained across the far northwest portion of the zone.

An active monsoon pattern across New Mexico resulted in slight drought improvement across the state. 1 category improvements were observed across south central and eastern New Mexico. Several instances of flash flooding were observed across Ruidoso due to heavy rainfall on the South Fork and Salt Fire burn scars.
