Trees were toppled across Route 1...near the Gouldsboro town line...by wind gusts estimated at up to 60 mph. The southbound lane was blocked by fallen trees. The time is estimated.

A cold front crossed the region during the afternoon of the 20th. Temperatures in the lower to mid 90s...along with abundant moisture...existed in advance of the cold front supporting instability. Thunderstorms developed in advance of the cold front...some of which reached severe levels. The severe thunderstorms produced damaging winds. The greatest severe thunderstorm impacts occurred across southern Penobscot county.
