A severe thunderstorm producing winds estimated at 60 mph knocked down wires onto South Market Street in Selinsgrove.
Wider weather episode
A cold front began moving across central Pennsylvania during the afternoon and evening hours of June 30, 2024 with severe thunderstorms forming ahead of and along the frontal boundary. This frontal boundary, with ample moisture and instability produced sporadic thunderstorm wind damage and small hail in the Lower Susquehanna Valley and in portions of the Middle Susquehanna Valley.
