A buoy at Realitos Peninsula recorded a thunderstorm wind gust of 34 kts. Thunderstorm wind gusts were associated with Tropical Storm Alberto.

The difference between strong high pressure (for mid June) over the southeast U.S. and low pressure/Tropical Storm Alberto near Tampico produced a few tropical storm wind gusts from outer bands over the lower Laguna Madre waters and the nearshore Gulf waters on June 19th, 2024.
