A buoy at Rincon del San Jose reported a thunderstorm wind gust of 37 kts. These thunderstorm winds were associated with Tropical Storm Alberto.
The wider storm
The difference between strong high pressure (for mid June) over the southeast U.S. and low pressure/Tropical Storm Alberto near Tampico produced a few tropical storm wind gusts from outer bands over the lower Laguna Madre waters and the nearshore Gulf waters on June 19th, 2024.
Began near S Baffin Bay (26.8000, -97.4600).
