2024-06-25 · Livingston, Kentucky
Wider weather episode
Mostly clear skies and plenty of moisture surging in from the south allowed for heat indices to reach 105 to 115 degrees across much of Southwest Kentucky. The highest observed heat index in Southwest Kentucky was 115 degrees at the Sturgis Municipal Airport AWOS site. Thunderstorms and a surging outflow boundary advancing southward during the mid-afternoon through the early evening brought an end to heat concerns for the day.
