Power poles were knocked down E-SE of Folkston.

Over 1000 electric customers were reported

without power. The cost of damage was unknown, but it was estimated for inclusion of the event in Storm Data.

Wider weather episode

A prevailing SW flow produced a stronger west coast sea breeze that converged with the east coast sea breeze toward the Atlantic coast into the afternoon and evening. Lingering outlflow boundaries also served as convective foci across the area over a moist and unstable airmass.
