Wider weather episode
A very hot and unstable airmass was entrenched across New Hampshire on the afternoon of June 19th. Pre-frontal trough allowed enough instability aloft for thunderstorms to developed during peak heating. Even though dynamics were weak, very high surface instability allowed for pulse-severe thunderstorms to develop. A cold front began to approach from the north and west which triggered thunderstorms across the state by mid-afternoon. Numerous storms became severe in nature with more concentrated storm coverage across the Connecticut River Valley.
