Event narrative
Severe thunderstorm outflow winds downed numerous trees and branches at a campground parking lot off the Crawford Notch Rd.
Wider weather episode
An upper level disturbance approached New England from the west during the afternoon hours of the 30th. A surface cold front associated with the upper level wave interacted with hot and unstable conditions to allow for numerous thunderstorms to develop during the afternoon hours. Some of the storms became severe with damaging winds and a few reports of large hail impacted mostly the Central and Southern parts of the state.
