The Franklin Basin SNOTEL site measured an estimated 12.5 inches of snowfall and the Emigrant Summit site 5.6 inches.

Wider weather episode

The first significant snowfall of the season fell in the southeast Idaho mountains. Some high elevation SNOTEL sites measured estimated amounts over a foot with 6 inches in the Island Park area and a few inches at some low elevation sites. Some accidents reported in Fremont County.
