A video on social media showed a waterspout approximately 10 miles southwest of Leeville. The location and time were estimated from radar.

Wider weather episode

A frontal boundary was stalled along the Gulf Coast from Texas to Florida. As afternoon peak heating was reached, scattered thunderstorms began to develop along the coast of Louisiana in the vicinity of the stalled front. One storm produced a waterspout.
