A wind gust of 65 mph occurred at the Dripping Springs Visitor Center for the Organ Mountains National Monument.

Deeper monsoonal moisture moved into the region with a strong upper high located across northeast Texas. Deep southeast winds brought the best moisture of the year into the Borderland which produced strong thunderstorm wind gusts in Dona Ana and Sierra counties along with a gustnado near Chaparral.
