Visibility at around 50 feet was observed in the area of West Val Vista Boulevard and I-10 in Casa Grande due to blowing dust from thunderstorm winds. No accidents nor injuries were reported.

Wider weather episode

A complex of strong thunderstorms developed over western Pinal County, particularly in the area between Casa Grande and Arizona City, during the late afternoon into the early evening hours. The overall environment the thunderstorms developed under was characterized by weak to moderate instability with CAPE values ranging between 500-1000 J/KG and DCAPE values in excess of 1500 J/KG, which was favorable for strong to severe downburst winds to materialize.
