Straight line winds damaged the roofs of multiple businesses in Taylorsville, and the roof of Leaf Valley Veterinary Clinic was blown off. Numerous trees were blown down in the area as well.

Severe thunderstorms moved across the state of Mississippi and produced damaging wind gusts, a few brief tornadoes, and heavy rainfall. Several swaths of wind produced significant damage.
