Event narrative

A line of severe thunderstorms uprooted scattered trees and downed power lines across southern and central portions of the county. Several trees fell onto roadways including County Road 275, County Road 280, and County Road 262. A tree was blown onto a house on County Road 280 with three residents entrapped, and a nearby barn was partially collapsed.

Wider weather episode

Severe thunderstorms moved across the state of Mississippi and produced damaging wind gusts, hail, and one tornado. Two swaths of wind produced significant damage.
