A strong thunderstorm producing wind gusts estimated at 55 mph knocked a tree and pole down 3 miles west-northwest of Elysburg. A vehicle crashed into the downed pole.

Weak surface troughing in an environment of ample instability and moisture allowed for convection to occur across east-central Pennsylvania during the afternoon and evening hours of June 22, 2024. Severe thunderstorms produced concentrated areas of thunderstorm wind damage with occasional small hail reports throughout the evening.
