Sumter Fire Department reported a tree fell on a vehicle on Azalea Court.

A weak surface boundary pushed slowly eastward on July 18. With unstable air ahead of the front, strong thunderstorms became numerous by the afternoon hours. Some of these became severe, with downbursts primarily causing wind damage.
