Ground partially covered with leaves stripped off trees.

Thunderstorms, along an approaching cold front, initiated during the mid morning hours of July 6th in northwestern Lincoln County. This activity grew upscale and became severe during the late morning hours. As activity transitioned east, severe storms continued into the afternoon hours over portions of central and southwestern Nebraska. Hail up to 2.5 inches in diameter and thunderstorm wind gusts up to 60 MPH were reported with the strongest storms.
