Wider weather episode

A cold front over the Ohio Valley tracked south and east into portions of eastern Tennessee, western North Carolina and south central Virginia during the late evening and overnight. Scattered thunderstorms developed ahead of the front in the afternoon and evening hours. A more concentrated area of storms tracked southeast out of central Virginia, and led to isolated damaging winds and tree damage across Person and Vance Counties.
