A trained spotter reported a funnel cloud east of Naples associated with a thunderstorm moving through the area.

As a surface frontal boundary pushed southward through the southeastern United States, winds began to veer south-southeast bringing moist, warm air into South Florida. This supported the development of numerous showers and thunderstorms along the sea-breeze on the afternoon and evening of July 29th.
