Event narrative
NWS storm survey conducted on wind damage in Kidder Township near Lake Harmony. Path of snapped and uprooted trees began on Chalet Court. Along Chalet Court and Lupine Drive from Chalet to Spring Street snapped and uprooted trees caused damage to nearby residences including damage to sheds and porch railings. Near the intersection of Lupine Drive and Spring Street, at least 10 trees were either uprooted or snapped in a wooded lot. Additional trees were uprooted along Pineknoll Drive. More sporadic tree damage, including large limbs felled, was noted along the loop of Skye Drive.
Wider weather episode
A very hot and humid airmass was in place as a cold front moved in. This resulted in several strong to severe thunderstorms developing, with storms mainly bringing damaging wind gusts to portions of eastern Pennsylvania.
