Wider weather episode
Lingering moisture after a monsoonal/post-tropical moisture surge combined with some enhanced instability and lift from a passing shortwave to produce scattered to widespread convection across eastern Utah and western Colorado. Drying surface levels allowed for some enhancement of outflow winds from showers and storms as falling precipitation evaporated before reaching the ground.
