Event narrative

The Fremont Island - Miller Hill mesonet station began to record wind gusts at or above 58 mph (initial of 61 mph) at 7:35 pm MST, increasing to a peak wind gust of 62 mph at 7:40 pm MST, with a final severe wind gust of 59 mph recorded at 7:45 pm MST.
