Event narrative

The Murray's Hill mesonet station recorded a wind gust of 61 at 3:10 am MST, followed by a peak gust of 63 mph at 3:20 am MST. These gusts were the result of outflow winds associated with a nearby cluster of showers and thunderstorms moving through the area.

Wider weather episode

Sufficient moisture in combination with a shortwave impulse brushing by the area resulted in numerous strong thunderstorm wind gusts in addition to isolated instances of flash flooding.
