An isolated high wind gust of 58 mph occurred ahead of thunderstorm outflow. Observation was recorded via Weather Underground site KKSMARIE11.

During the afternoon hours a line of scattered storms developed over Northwest Kansas producing estimated gusts up to 90 mph, primarily in Thomas County, with damage to a shed, vehicle windows, and trees in the city of Colby. Additional wind gusts of 58 mph were reported near Winona in Logan County.
