The Salt Creek Wildfire was discovered on July 7th at 305 PM PST. The fire started 10 miles east of Eagle Point, or 5 miles south-southwest of Butte Falls in Jackson County, Oregon. The fire was human caused. As of 530 AM PST on 07/23, it had burned 4,102 acres, was 100% contained, no structures had been destroyed, and it had cost $ 15.7M.
