Scattered showers and storms continued across much of Iowa throughout the day, with PWATS around 2-2.5 inches, a present LLJ and deeper warm cloud depths, leading to continued heavy rain. Rainfall totals up to 5 inches were noted primarily in Warren County, though Flash Flooding occurred in Marion and Mahaska counties into the early evening. Severe weather also was possible with damaging winds, hail and a low tornado potential over southern Iowa, though no severe reports were received.
