The Pencil Wildfire was discovered on July 22nd at 116 PM PST. The fire started 6 miles northwest of Davis Creek, near McGinty Reservoir in Modoc County, California. The fire cause is undetermined. As of 530 AM PST on 07/28, it had burned 396 acres, was 100% contained, no structures had been destroyed, and it had cost $ 460K.
