Scattered thunderstorms developed over central Nebraska during the evening hours of August 7th. Some of this activity occasionally became severe as it moved southeast, with one such storm affecting Greeley County with large hail around 11pm. The severe threat locally was short-lived, however, as no additional severe weather occurred through the remainder of the event.
