Numerous reports of wind damage in Winner, with about a dozen power poles down. The screen at the Winner Drive-in was destroyed.

A large supercell thunderstorm developed over southern Haakon County and tracked east-southeast across south central South Dakota. The storm produced large hail and damaging wind gusts across the area, including significant damage in the Winner area.
